A typical old fasioned cottage, quaint rustic with a warm log fire. The surrounding area is steeped with history and is unspoilt. The local serves excellent food only five minutes away.

We had a wonderful week. The cottage was just what we needed for a break away from it all. It was very cosy and easy to warm with the open fire. The quiet village had a good local pub and it's close to the Pennine Way, and lots of good walks. The owner was very welcoming and helpful.

Cosy, comfy, relaxing and a home from home. Loads of walks locally and at the lakes a really good location to explore the whole area from.

if you want peace and quiet, with friendly locals, in a small village environment, then this is for you. also a daily 50 mile radious will take you to most places of interest in the area, inc the lakes!

Fantastic location in a quiet village, a lovely little cottage with a roaring log fire - lovely on a cold winters day or night. The enclosed garden was fantastic for the dog, and the dog and us, had a warm and friendly welcome at the local pub too!

Grooms Cottage was a simple yet very comfortable base from which to explore Cumbria. It provided exactly the right mix of character and functionality, getting the holiday off to a great start.
